TRADITION. CHARACTER. EXCELLENCE.

Rooted in tradition and guided by values, Chung’s Black Belt Academy
is more than a martial arts school -
it’s a family.

ABOUT US

A Living Legacy

Sun H Chung Black Belt Academy is the home dojang founded by Grandmaster Sun Hwan Chung. For decades, Grandmaster Chung has dedicated his life to preserving and sharing the traditions of Korean martial arts, building a school known for excellence in instruction, character development, and community.

Today, the academy continues to honor his vision under the leadership of Teresa Chung and an experienced team of Master Instructors who have trained directly under Grandmaster Chung. Together, they carry forward the values, techniques, and traditions that have defined the school for generations.

Although Grandmaster Chung no longer teaches regular classes, he remains the heart of the academy and continues to be an inspiring presence at the dojang. His lifelong commitment to martial arts and to his students continues to shape every class, every instructor, and every student who walks through our doors.

The Charter of Moo Sool Do

The charter of MOO SOOL DO charges its members to have reverence for life; to respect life; and to have as a goal the preservation of life, even that of an enemy.

It is also a goal of MOO SOOL DO training to develop an appreciation for beauty; beauty of nature; of skill; and of rightness of action.

The goals set forth in this charter serve not only to protect life, but to enhance its quality.
